Diane Maris
Piano and Voice Lessons
Diane Maris is a piano and voice teacher who has loved the piano since she was 9, when her grandfather bought the family a piano and she started lessons. She earned her BA in Music Education from Webster University and holds certifications in Elementary Education and Elementary Music Education.
Diane has taught piano and voice for over 30 years, in a variety of schools and privately. She has played piano and organ for her church and directed both a children’s choir and a children’s handbell choir. Her teaching is highly individualized: she uses games to reinforce music theory, picks songs and exercises suited to each student, and helps them grow under her guidance.
When she isn’t teaching, Diane likes to watch football and baseball, read, and organize. She loves to watch her students grow as musicians at Noteway!
